30/06/2020

So it's the last day of June, half way through the year two thousand and twenty, at the beginning of a new decade and I don't know about you but to me it feels like a slow decent in to oblivion as we see world leaders, not all of them just a handful trying to start the apocalypse of self destruction that so many movies have used as story lines for years. On that note let's see what's out there to rant about.

In America, Well ain't that a pickle as yet another state that Trump recently visited reverses lockdown protocols as coronavirus cases spike dramatically, I wonder how many of the three thousand Trump supporters that attended his latest rally in Arizona are testing positive for the virus as members of his own administration and secret service that were there have. Would be nice to get a place by place run down on whether any of those packed in to that little church last week are the cause of the spike. Trump just keeps digging that six foot hole for himself and his fellow Americans doesn't he. It's amazing how he keeps trying to dodge the freedom of speech part of the constitution by lying over and over again, first it was a hoax, then it was a biological attack by china, then it was use a untested drug for malaria, followed by use detergent to kill the virus, then we don't need masks, and finally America is defeating the pandemic, there's nothing to worry about. Of course there's something to worry about it's a deadly F****** disease killing hundreds of thousands world wide with twenty five percent of deaths in America alone, but as long as the commander in chief is safe F*** the rest.

Come on America wise up to the man sitting inside your house of the people, he is a self centred narcissistic, sexist, racist bigot who can't find his balls around powerful women like Nancy Pelosi who he called a "Sick Woman", Former British Prime Minister Theresa May who he called "Weak" and German Chancellor Angela Merkel who he called "Stupid". These slanderous names weren't spoken to there faces, no this cowardly man just did it in phone calls which it is said he tried to bully and humiliate powerful female leaders of allied countries while boasting and playing buddies with so called enemy leaders like Russian leader Putin and North Korea's dictator Kim Jong Un, all this while Russia puts kill bounties on Allied soldiers serving in Afghanistan and North Korea amasses troops ready to enter the DMZ between North and South Korea. But it seems that not all enemy leaders like him as Iran has issued an arrest warrant for Trump over the killing of top Iranian commander Gen Qasem Soleimani in Iraq in January. Tehran prosecutor Ali Alqasimehr said Trump and 35 others faced murder and terrorism charges, and that Interpol had been asked to help detain them. So America it's up to you, do give him another four years or do you use his own catchphrase "Your Fired" on him as he has truly failed as an apprentice to the country.

Meanwhile let's take a look at what Theresa Mays replacement has been getting up to in dear old Blighty. So as we close in on the fourth of July lockdown easing date for the hospitality industry (funny how Johnson and his team has picked the date Britain was defeated by the Americans, wonder if there is a comparison to be made) a localised lockdown procedure is been rolled out in Leicester due to a share rise in positive cases of the virus been reported, meaning non-essential shops have to shut, schools will close for most pupils on Thursday again and the loosening of restrictions for pubs and restaurants in England on Saturday will also not be taking place there. So basically what the scientists predicted prior to the governments decisions on a purely economic growth platform has come true as the premature easing of lockdown has inevitably caused certain highly populated areas where minority and poorer households live, have seen the slight start of a second wave of cases. What this proves overall is how inept this present government is and that everything they say is either a lie or BS which will never succeed. Time and time again we see MP's giving interviews without an inkling of what they are talking about, they go in with one agenda and as soon as the person doing the interview takes the questions in a direction not predicted the MP flounders and becomes repetitive in their answers.

Can we really wait nearly four years for an election? In my humble opinion there should be a vote of no confidence in the present government and a coalition government be installed till both the pandemic and the question of Brexit is settled, no one party should be in charge in these trying times. That's me done for today.

Rant you tomorrow!

29/06/2020

I have lost count of how lockdown has lasted so far, but that won't stop the ranting. Let's see if there's anything today.

As usual we'll start with America, So Trump once again showed his white supremacist privileged colours again by retweeting a video showing one of his supporters loudly shouting "white power" as supporters and opponents of the president hurled abuse and swore at one another. This supporter was one of a group of people who took part in a pro-Trump rally at a retirement complex in Florida. Later in the day after outrage at the retweet Trump deleted the tweet after accusations that he is seeking to capitalise on racial tensions were raised. His spokesman says he did not hear the "white power" comment. I think either twitter should delete his account or the big baby should have his phone taken off him because he clearly does not think before tweeting or retweeting. What you see is a baby boomer that was clearly a mistake of the celebration at the end of world war two. As Trump condoned white power movements once again his ineptitude to lead the country showed again by his blatant silence on the rise in COVID-19 cases exploding and setting record infection rates, by spending the weekend on his own often divisive obsessions, piling up new evidence for detractors who say he's not fit for office. He ignored the implications of the disastrous US government response to the worst public health crisis in 100 years, even though it emerged that the White House is taking vigorous efforts to protect him from infection at rallies that contravene social distancing and masking guidelines, and that put even his own supporters at risk of getting sick, but did find time to make two trips to his Virginia course, despite boasting that he cancelled a weekend trip to his New Jersey resort to make sure "law and order is enforced" in Washington, DC. Please America for the good of the world get rid of this orangutan of a president.

So while one world leader plays golf amidst the death and destruction of his nation let's check in on the the world leader of the clown club in dear old Blighty. Johnson has said the UK will need an economic approach like the one enacted by former president Franklin D Roosevelt in his 'New Deal' out of the US's Great Depression, but there will be "some bumpy times" as the UK comes out of coronavirus and that the Government would now "double-down on our initial agenda", confirming he will set out his domestic vision during a speech in Dudley tomorrow. Johnson is all big talk about how this is the time to invest in infrastructure and is the time to make those long-term decisions for the good of the country, but how can he promise to invest big when there is no ending in sight for Brexit, no ending in sight for the pandemic and a government that is filled with inept and incompetent ministers.
On that note that's me done for today.

Rant you tomorrow!

Sunday 28 June 2020

28/06/2020

Once again we rise on a Sunday which used to be a sacred day, but in these times any day is sacred, but let's see what there is to rant about today.

In America, fresh headlines are coming to us of Trump's single-mindedness and disrespect for the American people as footage of Trump's campaign who were directed to remove thousands of "Do Not Sit Here, Please!" stickers from seats at the Tulsa, Oklahoma, arena where he held a campaign rally, according reported by the Washington Post. The campaign told the Post it followed the rules but did not comment on a video that appears to show the stickers being removed. This just shows how this man thinks of himself first and last without a thought for anyone else, not even his own family, but while his country suffers and he should be trying to combat the pandemic, economic collapse and inequality, he concentrates his efforts on his reelection, no matter the cost to life and on his one man war with China. As his country calls for change Trump is clearly focused on his own priorities by allowing police and military brutality, saving race related art and statues, firing or suing people who disagree with him and playing down how the pandemic that has killed so many globally as states start to re-impose lockdown, but worst of all is his ongoing battle with China which expanded away from his own country this week to him inserting himself in to talks between Hitachi and the Chinese government by intervening in discussions about the next generation of nuclear power on Anglesey in the UK. According to reports, the US president's administration has warned Hitachi, the company behind the site, not to sell it on to the Chinese government which is a sign of escalating tensions between the Americans and the Chinese as the White House is heaping pressure on Hitachi (a Japanese-owned company) not to sell on its interest into the site to Beijing.

So as Trump alienates more and more people globally, his latest adversary is the Rolling Stones who have warned Trump that he could face legal action if he continues using their songs at his campaign rallies. A statement from the band's legal team said it was working with the performing rights organisation, the BMI, to stop the unauthorised use of their music. The Trump campaign used the song You Can't Always Get What You Want at last week's rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma which prompted a statement released on Saturday, representatives for the group said that "further steps to exclude" Mr Trump from using Rolling Stones material in future presidential campaigning was necessary after previous "cease and desist directives" had been ignored. The BMI has reportedly notified the Trump campaign on behalf of the Stones that the use of their songs without permission will constitute a breach of its licensing agreement, and would be subject to legal action. Even in the fact that Trump and his administration send out cease and desist notices to many different companies and individuals they believe they are immune to reprisals by ignoring notices themselves. As I keep stating time and time again Trump is a narcissist that cares about no one, but himself.

On that I need to move on and take a look at dear old Blighty. As we head towards more restrictions being eased next month, Johnson issued a fresh message to people ignoring social distancing rules declaring he will make the "necessary closures" in the event of local outbreaks of coronavirus which comes after Bournemouth declared a major incident on Thursday, after a deluge of 500,000 visitors caused chaos as they gridlocked roads and dumped tonnes of rubbish as crowds flocked to the beach. Johnson stated if similar scenes are repeated and infections spike, he will reimpose restrictions on the towns affected.

What dumbfounds me personally is why do people need to head to the coast the minute the temperature rises especially when we are just starting to make headway in the fight against the pandemic, the ignorance and mentality of some is just ridiculous putting sun,sea and sand above the wellbeing of themselves, their families and other people.

So as we close out an other week in lockdown the stupidity of individuals not only in America, but also in the UK could spread a second wave of the virus pushing the world in to lockdown further in to this disastrous start to a new decade. That's all from me to day.

Rant you tomorrow!

Saturday 27 June 2020

27/06/2020

As I sit looking out on a damp Saturday, I think of yesterdays warmth, but also wonder what there is to rant about other than the rain, so let's take a look.

In America, Well finally the issue of coronavirus Trump's Trump in the news for one second as US infectious disease chief Dr Anthony Fauci says the nation has a "serious problem" as 16 states reel from a spike in COVID-19 cases. At the first White House task force briefing in two months, Dr Fauci said: "The only way we're going to end it is by ending it together", while Vice-President Mike Pence praised the "progress" in the fight against the virus. Pence very proud of the fact that more than 40,000 new cases were recorded across the US on Friday the highest daily total so far, exceeding the record set only the previous day bringing the total to nearly two and half million confirmed infections and more than one hundred and twenty five thousand deaths nationwide greater than any other country. It is kinda funny how the states recently visited by Trump have suddenly put a pause on reopening due to the spike in new cases. But while Pence and Fauci faced the media what was dear old Trumpy doing, he was sitting on his ass and instead of signing an executive orders to save American lives form the pandemic he was signing yet another useless executive order calling for protesters who target monuments to be imprisoned which says anyone who damages a public statue must be prosecuted to the "fullest extent of the law" and also calls for withholding federal funds from local jurisdictions and police departments that fail to stop such "mob rule". So as Trump extricates himself from any chance of catching the virus that he still thinks is a hoax more and more staffers that come close to him on a daily basis test positive for the virus, we are seeing a scared man who during puff piece interviews designed to help him, he can't answer simple questions without sidetracking himself on to a non answer that shows he is suffering from some mental problem or the very least memory problem. When is the American media that back this man (as radicalised by him) going to wake up and speak the truth instead of the network BS currently spouted, I am so glad I am not living in America right now.

Speaking of not been in America, let's take a look at what's happening in dear old Blighty. Well basically it seems to be a quiet time in Blighty except that Johnson is still hiding out from the media, but has got his team to voice the possibility for people to start thinking about having a holiday, the country for most has been one long staycation since February, but with blanket restrictions on non-essential overseas travel being be relaxed in the UK from the sixth of July could it see those who have being working hard in the essential workers fields flying of on holiday with the expectation of being allowed to travel to certain European countries without having to spend 14 days in quarantine when they return. the destination are thought to include Spain, France, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Finland, Belgium, Turkey, Germany and Norway, but not Portugal or Sweden with a full list of travel corridors with the UK being published next week. So whoopee do, those rich people who have lots of dosh squirrelled away can bounce off to their fancy holiday homes while us poor people get to continue our staycation at home because who the hell can afford to go on holiday after nearly five months lockdown. Get a grip Johnson and the lackey's brigade holidays cost money which anyone outside the one percent club will be struggling to find right now.

Rant you tomorrow!

Friday 26 June 2020

26/06/2020

And we head in to another Friday with hopes of a better weekend ahead, but will it or won't it, let's take a look at what there's to rant about today.

In America, As more and more stories of police brutality are reported what is the president doing, firstly he is getting his Attorney General to try and block two books that show the type of man he is in reality and also secondly getting his administration to ask the US Supreme Court to invalidate Obamacare, which has provided health insurance to millions of Americans. Government lawyers said the act became invalid when the previous Republican-led Congress axed parts of it.
In a response Democratic challenger Joe Biden attacked the move, saying Mr Trump had put millions of lives at risk during the coronavirus pandemic and that t
hey would live their lives caught in a vice between Donald Trump's twin legacies: his failure to protect the American people from the coronavirus, and his heartless crusade to take healthcare protections away from American families which proves that health care will be a key battleground in the November presidential election as well as equality which he constantly defies. If Trump gets his way 20 million Americans could lose their health coverage if the court overturns the Affordable Care Act, which was introduced by Donald Trump's Democratic predecessor, Barack Obama. Trump's excuse is that the scheme costs too much and has promised a different plan to replace it, preserving some popular elements of the existing law but covering fewer people. In other words the insurance companies get richer while the patients die.

So on the day when reports show over one hundred and seventy thousand new cases of coronavirus cases were registered with a further five thousand plus deaths in a twenty four period making the running total in America alone nearly nine and a half million cases with over quarter of a million deaths we hear that the man who could do something about it, not only wants the Affordable Care Act abolished, but in a bizarre headline has requested a statue of a confederate general be saved. Well America it looks like your president values statues over lives.

On that note let's take a look at how dear old Blighty is coping with our own inept government. Well we have two sides of a type of leadership going on at the moment. In the blue corner we have Johnson backing his buddies stating he has full confidence in both Cummings and Jenkin which says to the public " Do as I say, not as I do" meaning as a people we have to abide by the laws of the land while top Tories and aides can break the rules whether it be travelling while in lockdown, disobeying the two metre rule, going to parties or accepting back handers to allocate prime real estate for re-zoning and not been asked to resign or getting fired. While in the red corner MP's are asked to resign for re-tweeting an interview with anti Semitic connotations and resign when caught breaking the lockdown rules. You choose who is a better leader the blue Johnson or the red Starmer, I vote orange, so I am impartial. What I will say is that how can a government who doesn't police it's own members and ministers expect the general public to accept the big brother style policing we are seeing in this day and age of Camera, internet scraping, government controlled apps, social media, blogging and twenty four hour news. I for one like to think I now live a respectable life with the respect for the law, but there are so many more people who see the corrupt antics of our elected officials and say either to themselves or in groups, F*** them if they can get away with law breaking without consequences why can't I. That's me done for today.

Rant you tomorrow!

Thursday 25 June 2020

25/06/2020

So on this beautiful summery Thursday in England, let me see what there is to rant about.

In America, We can see that Trumps influence is once again circumventing the law as another one of his lackeys walks free from a possible prison sentence. A federal court has moved to dismiss charges against ex-National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, a former three-star US general, was the highest ranking official snared by the special counsel inquiry into Russian meddling in the 2016 election who was one of several Trump associates convicted of lying. Trumps administration may claim a victory, but the ruling came as a prosecutor told Congress he was pressured to go easy on long-time Trump aide Roger Stone. What is really shocking about this case is that Flynn actually pleaded guilty to lying to FBI investigators about his conversations with the Russian ambassador to Washington. which makes this surprising 2-1 ruling by the US Circuit Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia really unbelievable following a highly criticised request from the Department of Justice (DOJ) to drop the case, an attempt by Flynn to change his guilty plea and If the case is not appealed, Flynn will be legally exonerated. And guess what or maybe it's no surprise that Trump cheered the "great" ruling in a tweet and called for fired FBI director James Comey to apologise to him.

How can the legal system be so flawed that one man can snap his fingers and have justice swayed in his favour, yet I suppose it can when you look back at how the rich get away with anything they want and the poor are pissed upon by district attorney's who use their position to prosecute cases they know they can win while highly paid defence lawyers get the rich off free. You have a president ( who wants to be the next king of America) preaching law and order, calling peaceful protesters terrorists, looters and anarchists while he backs white supremacists and gun toting morons as warriors, breaches all kinds of justice to get his lackeys released from prison or cases dropped by firing the attorney's that he is scared of and treats immigration as his own personal race relations checker ticking off those creeds and colours he deems as worthless, so you tell me how is this serving law and order other than protecting the white privileged rich that each and every day use the downtrodden to do their slave labour and if you are one of the those minorities that back this crazy, white (sorry orange) privileged racist, sexist, fascist psychopath that is so inept at his job over one hundred and twenty thousand people are dead from a disease he called a hoax, more fool you. That's all I have to say on America today.

So lets's take a look at the other inept head of government in dear old Blighty. So while the Jenkins cash for project approval debacle carried on with Labour claiming collusion and backhander payments to the Conservative party, Johnson faced more aggressive questioning from his counterpart in the opposition over the effectiveness of the NHS test and trace system in England, during Prime Minister's Questions. The Labour leader said it was a "big problem" that just over ten thousand people with coronavirus had been reached, despite estimates of thirty three thousand cases and all Johnson could do was criticise Starmer for not supporting government actions. instead of questioning the effectiveness of the app they should be questioning the privacy issues of the app which tracks peoples lives giving the secret squirrels another way to spy on the innocent with yet another big brother tool taking us one more step towards Orwell's fictional dystopian predictions. As a single bloke living alone with no family, lockdown has been easy, but for families with kids and relatives it must be hellish, so the easing of lockdown for them is good, but are we going too fast, too soon and is the government doing it correctly taking notice of the scientific advice or simply looking at the economic pluses, playing Russian roulette with the populations lives, I suppose we will just have to wait and see won't we.

Rant you tomorrow!

Wednesday 24 June 2020

24/06/2020

Happy Wednesday or is it, the sky is blue, not a cloud to see, Summer is here, but let's see if the news is clear of anything to rant about.

In America, so Trump finally gets the packed mask-free reception he craved at a three thousand-strong students' rally in Phoenix as cops outside fired pepper balls at protesters gathered outside protesting which is a breach of their civil rights to freedom of speech. In that speech as well as taking non evidential pot shots at Biden, Obama and Clinton, Trump once again referenced the coronavirus as the 'Kung flu', listing it among other terms used like 'Wuhan virus' and the 'China virus' for a disease that has killed 120,000 Americans, all this bravado in a small church in Arizona as he spoke to three thousand idiots not concerned with catching the coronavirus packed together like sardines without masks or social distancing protocols and they still see this sexual predator and gangster that they hold up as the messiah of America a worthy person to lead a country for four more years. While Trump openly puts lives at risk for his own gain, his opponent who he has nicknamed sleepy Joe took the option to do his campaigning virtually with the backing of ex-president Obama. What I see as an outsider is a man who continually puts his own monetary agenda before the people of the country and their needs with not an ounce of thought other than the mentality of a child screaming and shouting "I want, I want, I want". It wouldn't surprise me if he has temper tantrums in his oval office banging and kicking things then goes running off upstairs to get his comforter, crawling in to bed and sucking on his thumb while Melania strokes his ego. Anyway it is not my decision or opinion that counts, it's up to the American people to get rid of this leech.

Meanwhile As Trump sign an executive order that suspends foreign work visas including the L-1 visa that allows firms to transfer staff from overseas offices and the H-1B visa that enables companies to hire highly-skilled people in certain fields to enable his countries unemployed to find work, UK based companies are urging anyone who has been affected by the ridiculous decision to suspend H1-B in the US, to take a look at the British workplace as an alternative. James Wise, a tech investor with Balderton Capital, claimed that the UK is a hub for global tech and that it has more developers and venture capital money than most of the East Coast with his tweet, which has been retweeted and endorsed by other company VCs. Some UK firms have already expressed an interest in hiring people affected by Trump’s decision.

Some coronavirus headlines out of dear old Blighty is that Health leaders are calling for an urgent review to determine whether the UK is properly prepared for the "real risk" of a second wave of coronavirus. In an open letter published in the British Medical Journal, ministers were warned that urgent action would be needed to prevent further loss of life. This letter comes as Johnson's government outlines sweeping changes to England's lockdown which is ease restrictions on pubs, restaurants, cinemas and hairdressers which are set to reopen from the fourth of July as well as reducing the social distancing rules to one metre. Even with these relaxations, the Department of Health said it would continue to be guided by the latest scientific advice and would give the NHS "whatever it needs" meaning the science community is against the governments plan which solely based on the economy and not the welfare of the people.

Other headlines are that Labour's shadow housing secretary Steve Reed is attempting to force Housing Secretary Robert Jenrick to publish all documents relating to a controversial planning decision which he approved the scheme twelve days before the developer gave twelve thousands pounds to the Conservative Party stating that the timing raises "cash for favours" suspicions which again is just one more example of back door negotiations by a politically corrupt cabinet. So as the country suffers for the ineptitude of government ministers the health secretary Matt Hancock is chest puffing with a tweet boasting that the governments plan for protecting NHS staff and reducing the number of coronavirus cases was working. How can a corrupt government like the one we have right now be allowed to carry on. They lie, cheat, accept bribes and that's all we have heard about other than how they have caused this country to be classed as the second worst hit nation in the world through bad decision making. That's me done for today.

Rant you tomorrow!

Tuesday 23 June 2020

23/06/2020

Well as the sun rises on another Tuesday in lockdown, let's see what I can rant about.

In America, If the crap shoot Trump called his Re-election campaign comeback in Tulsa wasn't enough of a let down for him, the news that ten people within his staff, eight staffers and two secret service have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last forty eight hours since attending the rally is shocking and what's worse, Trump plans to still go ahead with his next rally in a church in Phoenix that holds three thousand people. Also he is willing to put more lives at risk as he flaunts the mandatory wearing of masks set out by Phoenix authorities by not making it mandatory within his populous at the rally. Trump in what amounts to a relaunch of a relaunch, Trump will travel to Arizona, a battleground state, (which has seen quite a rapid rise in coronavirus cases) to embrace his most comfortable signature issue with an event marking the 200th mile of his wall on the US-Mexico border which is actually only been construction to in fact replaced existing barriers, not build a new wall.

In other news on the back of his planned visit to kiss his wall, he has issued a proclamation extending and expanding immigration restrictions to limit the entry of new foreign workers. The order states certain categories of foreign worker visa like those  given to foreign faculty hired at universities and employees hired by tech firm will no longer be issued until the end of the year. The Trump administration characterized the decision as a plan to stave off the economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic, and to prioritize American jobs. All I see is a president hell bent on isolating America from the rest of the world, so that his country can become an all white, all racist abomination. How can a man who is himself a descendant of immigrants play the America first card especially as the actual natives of the country are kept downtrodden and harassed for their blood ties to past when the country was first settled by the white man. America's history is one of prejudice which this man plays on and should no longer be allowed to - Show your compassion and get rid of him, wipe him from the history books of the future.

Anyway as my blood boils up towards a volcanic eruption, let's take a look at what's going on in dear old Blighty. The news is all talk about how the government is about to reduce the two meter rule and allow cinemas, museums and galleries to re-open giving the economy an upturn, but we will need to wait to hear the restrictions. Along with the re-opening of the hospitality industry, the two point two million people who have been self-isolating in England during the pandemic will no longer need to shield from the first of August. From the sixth of July, they will be able to meet up outdoors, in a group, with up to five others and form 'support bubbles' with other households. All the above is good progress, but we still don't hear the government or Johnson taking any responsibility for the state of the pandemic death toll or the future of economic stability. If the government had acted on the predictive algorithms they surely use, the country would be in a better state right now and we as a people wouldn't be living in as an oppressed society with governmental bureaucratic BS. I am sure it will end someday, but how much more privacy will be lost as more and more controls are introduced on the general population.

Rant you tomorrow!

Monday 22 June 2020

22/06/2020

And in to another week of lockdown we advance, with more deaths from the pandemic, police brutality and now terrorists have raised their ugly heads once again. So let's see what there is to rant about as we head in to what I think is week thirteen of lockdown (lost count really).

In America, As Trump reels from the lack of support at his rally in Tulsa, yet another police officer is under scrutiny for using an illegal choke hold on a suspect, this time in New York where the camera footage from a body cam was released showing the incident. On the Trump rally debacle his re-election team has rejected claims that a social media campaign by Tik-Tok users and K-Pop fans was behind the lower-than-expected turnout for Saturday night's Oklahoma rally as reports start to appear that teenagers are said to have booked tickets without intending to turn up so as to produce empty seats. Before the rally the Trump 2020 team said one million requests had been made for tickets and they had weeded out bogus reservations. But in reality the arena used only holds nineteen thousand seats with the event also planning to extend outside, though that part of it was cancelled as only six thousand actually Trump supporters turned up as counted by the Tulsa fire brigade while the Trump team suggested the figure was much higher. So as Trump sloped off back to the whitehouse late in to the night followed by a day solitude on yet another golf trip the propaganda machine went in to overdrive trying to save the blushes of the re-election crap shoot.

Two other terrifying headlines hitting the world are that the fight to remove the confederate flag from NASCAR has turned nasty as a rope noose was found in one drivers garage who openly protested his views about the flag been used and a BBC one Panorama documentary has surfaced showing how teenagers are been groomed by a neo nazi group looking to create a world order led by a former analyst who worked for the FBI and as a contractor for the Pentagon. In the documentary it was seen that he informed one British teenager that the idea of societal collapse was a "guiding philosophy" while a European teenager was told that such a collapse would be desirable, even at a local level, if it offered a "power vacuum that we can take advantage of" and a third boy was told "we have a goal of initially creating two to three man cells in as many areas as possible" and that the "UK is a place that we think there is a lot of potential". This is just too scary for words, how can such people still exist in this day and age, has the past not taught these radicals anything that white supremacy fails.

While this carries on elsewhere in the world let's take a look at dear old Blighty. So as more news flows out about the tragic stabbings in Reading and Johnson has openly condemned the incident in an interview, except time and time again he just kept repeating the same old rhetoric over and over of "if lessons are to be learned, we will learn them" showing no awareness of how it would be stopped. Meanwhile we await an announcement on Tuesday whether the hospitality sector can reopen on the fourth of July, and whether the two metre distancing rule in England will be relaxed, with some conditions. Health Secretary Matt Hancock earlier said England is "clearly on track" to further ease lockdown restrictions while number ten warned the moves would be reversed if they led to a virus surge. Re-opening the hospitality industry where a lot of the lower paid workers are employed would be a good idea as long as the issue of the virus spreading has been researched scientifically rather than purely economically. What is needed is the type of venues to be thoroughly vetted before there doors are allowed to open especially night clubs where the chances of the virus spreading is greater than the likes of hotels or some pubs. Concert venues, theatres and cinemas where social distancing and the use of masks is possible would be advantageous to the economic upturn needed right now.

With the country in upheaval due to COVID-19, are we seeing a slackening of surveillance on possible terrorists allowing them to conduct acts of terror and the people responsible for the surveillance more concerned with arresting innocent peaceful protesters marching for the civil rights of the masses. At this time where terrorists have had the time to prepare their attacks shouldn't the anti terror divisions have been hard at work watching those known like the attacker in Reading for possible incidents. Anyway what do I know I'm no expert, but questions should be asked about how a possible terrorist know to MI5 could be allowed to openly attack innocent people in a park.

Rant you tomorrow!

Sunday 21 June 2020

21/06/2020

Happy Fathers day to the fathers in the United kingdom and happy Sunday. I sit writing this piece with a heavy heart for myself as I remember my dear father and for the world as we continue to struggle through these trying times, so let's take a look at what's being going on.

In America, on this day we see Trump's world crashing once again as a US judge has rejected a request by Trump to stop the publication of a memoir by his former National Security Adviser, John Bolton. The justice department argued that the book had not been properly vetted, but Washington DC District Court Judge Royce Lamberth said the government had "failed to establish that an injunction would prevent irreparable harm as Mr Bolton had "gambled" with US national security and already "exposed his country to harm". All this and more as Trump held his first campaign rally since the US coronavirus lockdown began, in front of a smaller than expected crowd. Trump had boasted earlier in the week that almost a million people had requested tickets for the event at Tulsa's Bank of Oklahoma Centre, but the 19,000-seat arena was far from full and plans for him to address an outside "overflow" area were abandoned as people stayed away in droves due to concerns over the pandemic which was one issue Trump touched on in his wide-ranging, almost two-hour-long speech to cheering supporters in Oklahoma, a Republican heartland where boasted about how he told officials to slow down COVID-19 testing because so many cases were being detected, which was later played down as a joke.

So again we see the extremists who believe this man is god in reincarnate turn up and chant like idiots, but the rally was a bomb which Trump blamed on protesters blocking metal detectors, but maybe it was just the fact people are beginning to understand this idiot is wrong for the country or maybe they got scared off by the clear use of a military force with the national guard prowling the streets in numbers with gigantic scary vehicles. What I hope is it's down to the American people coming to there senses over giving a mad man the keys to nation.

So let's look at dear old Blighty as well today. As ministers will announce in the coming week whether the two metre social distancing rule in England will be relaxed, Chancellor Rishi Sunak has said. The government has been reviewing the advice, amid warnings many businesses will not survive under current rules. Mr Sunak said the outcome of the review will "make an enormous difference" to businesses "keen to see a change". It has yet to give a definitive date for the hospitality sector, but ministers are preparing to ease more coronavirus lockdown restrictions on 4 July. There is very little to talk or rant about from the UK headlines today, so I am not even going to try.

Rant you tomorrow!

20/06/2020

As we enter another weekend of racial unrest, political bullshit, Pandemic upturn in cases and economic downturn what can we find to rant about.

In America, the death toll from coronavirus has risen to over four hundred and sixty one thousand dead with eight and three quarters of a million cases confirmed while the president fights with publishers, protesters and politicians on twitter and in the courts. The main headlines of the day is about how the attorney in charge of finding dirt on Trump and his cronies has learned through the press that he is stepping down from his post. Attorney Berman stated in a press release that he was not stepping down and had not tendered his resignation. This is a clear try by AG Barr and Trump to shutdown any investigation that comes close to unravelling the skeletons hidden in his closets which could include money laundering for a Russian business man who is suspected of buying his own property in Palm Beach through Trump properties LLC with help from Deutsche bank. The fore mentioned Russian and friend of Trump is also suspected of taking over from Jeffrey Epstein on the supplying of young women as it is reported that he openly boasts about his conquests of young women to friends. While in other headlines, yet another of Trump's lackeys, Cohen who was Trump's major fixer is been released from prison. AG Barr is doing his very best to subvert justice at every turn for Trump including breaking the law, condoning illegal and fraudulent acts as well as suing multiple parties in nonsense cases. Again and again it is shown that Trump and the people he associates with are out right frauds and criminals. America is in dire need of changes from the top down so that the country can start to heal from both severe death losses, bad management and corruption at the highest levels of government.

Anyway, that's all I am about to say today on America, so let's take a look at dear old Blighty. The main headlines is that a review into the two metre social distancing rule in England will conclude "within the coming days" and it comes amid warnings many businesses will not survive under the current guidance as the government prepares to ease more restrictions on the fourth of July with pubs, restaurants and hotels are among those hoping to reopen with Prime Minister Johnson commissioning the review on the fourteenth of June, saying there was "margin for manoeuvre" in the social distancing rule as the number of coronavirus cases falls, while the other nations of the UK have not announced any plans. Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has said she is looking at the evidence, Northern Ireland's Economy Minister Diane Dodds has said she is open to changing it and a coronavirus adviser to the Welsh government said the risk in reducing the distance "isn't very big".

All this BS while the amount of known cases reaches over the million mark and deaths are reported by varying press agencies anywhere from forty two thousand to fifty two thousand which shows an innate lack of statistical background been released by the government due to the fact that the governing bodies are operating as four separate entities instead of as one cohesive unit on defeating the pandemic. Again we are seeing a British prime minister who wants to turn the UK in to a Trump stylised doppelganger where the rights of the minorities are suppressed in the halls of government behind closed doors while the mouth piece says what the people want to hear, so as to subvert the civil rights of the populous before they realise there rights have been quashed. Johnson himself as a reporter criticised the European market openly, then preached immigration rights as mayor of London before returning to his belligerent attacks on Europe as a member of the leave campaign, then changing his tune totally when running for leader of the conservatives to gain the role of prime minister where he now hides his bigotry and prejudices behind a mask of the duly elected leader of the country who has no idea of how to run the country other than dividing the nation. In my opinion we can't wait four years to oust this charlatan from office along with his hoards of yes people covering up his inadequacies by lying to the fore mentioned populous. That's me done for today.

Rant you tomorrow!

Friday 19 June 2020

19/06/2020

So it's the end of the so called working week and into Friday we stride, but let's see what is going on outside our own little world shall we.

In America, Trumps campaign took double blows today as both Facebook and Twitter censure ads. Facebook took down an ad that featured a symbol used in Nazi Germany. A Facebook representative said the offending ad contained an inverted red triangle similar to that used by the Nazis to label opponents such as communists while a representative of Trump's campaign team claimed the ad was aimed at the far-left activist group antifa, which it said uses the symbol. While Twitter flagged a video re-tweeted by Trump, which contained a fake CNN news segment about a “racist baby”, adding a warning label that the post contained manipulated media.

All in all this has been one shit week for Trump with two tell all books, two high profile cases get denied by a supposed Trump friendly supreme court, COVID-19 makes a resurgence in states that eased the lockdown too quickly and his poll numbers hit an all time low. Trump has his justice department working overtime to quash the book releases, change immigration laws, sending cease and desist letters to  TV networks who he claims are spreading fake news, while VP Pence states the increase in numbers of coronavirus cases are overblown. On top of all this the Lincoln project released yet another scathing ad about Trump's health asking "Is there something wrong with Trump?" showing different instances when Trump's ability to govern is questionable. What is the halls of American politics hiding from their nation and the world, and who is really running the country behind closed doors?

In other headlines out of America it has been reported that Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar has announced that she will not seek to be Joe Biden's running mate for the US presidential election in November stating that the Democratic nominee should choose a woman of colour as the vice-presidential candidate which is in my opinion a good decision because Biden needs something to get the minority vote on his side, but mostly because America has never had a female VP, let alone a president. Also should Biden's past rear it's ugly head there would be the chance for America's first female president which again has never happened in America and is well overdue.

Well enough about america let's see what BS is coming out of dear old Blighty today. So lies and subterfuge still roles through the halls of parliament as a coronavirus outbreak at a meat factory was shrouded in "secrecy". Health Secretary Matt Hancock revealed that there had been cases in Kirklees, West Yorkshire, at Thursday's briefing and that positive results were confirmed at the Kober factory, a supplier to Asda, which has temporarily closed the plant. A local resident Alan Hair said he was "angry at the level of secrecy" while MP Tracy Brabin branded the announcement as "incredibly careless". A representative of Kirklees Council stated it did not tell the public "because it doesn't combat the spread of the virus, compromises patient confidentiality and it could discourage businesses and organisations from coming forward in future". Once again our elected officials have proven that their political future is more important than British lives claiming that public ignorance is best against a full scale panic.

As cabinet ministers take on the briefing and subterfuge duties of the government Johnson decided it would be a best use of his time to have photo ops outside Downing street with French president Emmanuel Macron on Thursday to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Charles de Gaulle’s BBC radio appeal to France to resist the Nazi occupation as well as taking time for talks over Brexit agreeing to step up efforts to secure a UK-EU trade deal. As Britain flounders in both economic stability and a rising death toll for this centuries worst medical emergency, we see a man who is supposed to be leading our combined four nations taking tea and cucumber sandwiches with a French man instead of governing the country. Can we really wait till twenty twenty four for another election especially if we have Johnson in charge till then, the future is dire.

That's all for me today,

Rant you tomorrow!

18/06/2020

So here we are again, it's Thursday, let's see what's been happening.

In America, it must have been a slow day because the show down over literary tell all's is still the main topic of conversation. While Ag Barr tries to get the Bolton's book banned for his boss, Trump sends out more slanderous tweets stating that (Wacko John Bolton’s “exceedingly tedious”(New York Times) book is made up of lies and fake stories. Said all good about me, in print, until the day I fired him. A disgruntled boring fool who only wanted to go to war. Never had a clue, was ostracized and happily dumped. What a dope!) in which his use of English is atrocious. When is someone going to grab all these slanderous remarks on twitter and sue this big baby for deformation of character. This latest tweet came after more information of content was leaked outlining Trump wanted China to buy agricultural produce from US farmers, according to details of the forthcoming book previewed by US media, also that Trump still remained stunningly uninformed on how to run the White House and most bizarrely that Trump revealed he didn't know the UK was a nuclear power during a meeting with former prime minister Theresa May. Fox news keeps giving Trump a platform to spread his wild accusations and spout BS allowing Trump on air to call Joe Bolton "a washed up guy, that he gave a chance to", even though in the halls of power Bolton was known as a foreign policy hardliner who also served in the administration of President George W Bush. As national security adviser he was the top counsellor to the US president on security matters at home and abroad. What is now been seen more openly is that if you don't like what Trump is saying or doing he just sacks you or if you resign citing Trump as the reason, Trump just lies saying he sacked you instead. This man has the ego of a God with the temperament of a toddler which is why Mary Trump, the presidents niece has wrote her tell all book on the Trump family to show the world the real Donald Trump.

In the midst of a global pandemic, anarchy in America, possibility of war in Asia on two fronts, the main world news is still on Trump, this just dumbfounds me. Anyway less of that, let's check out dear old Blighty. Well the headlines are leading with the sad news of Dame Vera Lynn's death at the age of one hundred and three years of age, which means yet another contact to the second world war has passed making the teaching of British history both good and bad, more and more important in this day and age. If only some of our governmental ministers could be more like her, the queen, prince Phillip and our many fallen heroes and heroines of the past rather than the money grabbing fops that they are especially the hypocritical health secretary who was caught on camera touching another minister heading in to prime minister's question time. He did apologize for this slip up, but how many more slip ups has he and other ministers made when not on camera. Can we really trust these people who are seen to be telling us what to do, while disobeying the rules themselves. In a slightly bizarre headline, Johnson motorcade was involved in an R.T.A with itself outside parliament, but no one was hurt except his nice Jaguar car. On that note, I say R.I.P Dame Vera and that's all from me today.

Rant you tomorrow!

17/06/2020

Here we are again half way through another week, half way through another month, half way through one of the worst years in history filled with death, violence, political ineptitude and on the brink of war as border issues rise up between old adversaries with little condemnation from partisan governments. Are we set for world war three and the inevitable obliteration of humankind, you tell me. While all this goes on around us certain leaders have their heads up their asses over stupid inconsequential matters, so let's take a look at what is rantable out there today.

In America for starters, so one headline out of the states was that Trump has signed an executive order introducing several police reforms while rejecting calls to defund or dismantle the police. His order offers federal grants to improve practices, including creating a database to trace abuses by officers. During the press conference to puff his chest he did not comment about the ongoing US racism debate. Flanked by eight law enforcement officers, only one of whom was non white, Trump began by saying he had met a number of African-American families who had lost loved ones, yet no representatives of the families were present with Mr Trump, he also added that without police, there's chaos and that Americans believe we must support the brave men and women in blue who police our streets and keep us safe and that Americans also believe we must improve accountability, increase transparency and invest more resources in police training, recruiting and community engagement. Just as usual the words left his mouth, but no heart followed the words because the man has no heart, just a racist bank fault where his heart should be. Every thing this man says or does is for publicity in an effort to get re-election and cannot be trusted.

In other headlines the saga with former National Security Adviser John Bolton versus Trump escalated  to the point where the US Department of Justice (or should we say Trump's lackey, AG Barr) has filed a lawsuit to prevent Mr Bolton publishing a new book about his time at the White House citing that it contains classified information which comes a day after Trump said Mr Bolton could face "criminal problems" over the release adding I will consider every conversation with me as president highly classified, so that would mean that if he wrote a book and if the book gets out, he's broken the law and I would think he would have criminal problems". Representatives of the non-profit American Civil Liberties Union responded saying that any Trump administration efforts to stop John Bolton's book from being published are doomed to fail and Mr Bolton lawyer followed up stating they were looking through the lawsuit and "will respond in due course". Here you have a president who is hiding scared of the backlash of honesty that will eventually topple his house of lies and open him up to criminal proceedings over his past and present misrepresentations. This man should not have been allowed to set one foot in to the whitehouse without his tax returns been vetted or a thorough back ground check in to his operations with certain countries, but that is four years ago and still nothing has happened.

While all this nonsense is going on in America, all the headlines can come up with in dear old Blighty is about free meals for children over the summer months which the government has done a u-turn on due to campaigning from the public backing a footballer and the merging of two separate departments of government, all in all there is very little information coming out of the halls of government which is a worry in itself as during a pandemic, an economic downturn, growing unemployment and social unrest you would expect more in the headlines from the halls of power or even more face time with the actual leader of the country. Not in the case of this government who is in the habit of hiding away from the hard questions, but as there is very little to read about, there is very little to rant about, so I will call a day on that.

Rant you tomorrow!

Tuesday 16 June 2020

16/06/2020

Well as we wake up to another Tuesday morning in an increasingly hostile world where China is in a standoff with India over the deaths of three Indian soldiers, North Korea's soldiers await orders to re-enter the DMZ after North Korea blows up an inter Korean liaison office and Russia incites violence by white supremacist groups with in US while spreading fascism, racism and right wing terrorism worldwide, so other than all that let's see what else there is to rant about.

In America, Trump has confirmed plans to withdraw nearly ten thousand American troops from bases in Germany after accusing Germany of being "delinquent" in its payments to Nato, and said he would stick with the plan unless Berlin changed its course as he has long complained that European members of Nato should spend more on their own defence. On the same day as the top court in the US has ruled that employers who fire workers for being gay or transgender are breaking the country's civil rights laws. In a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court who has become more conservative said federal law, which prohibits discrimination based on sex, should be understood to include sexual orientation and gender identity which is a major win for LGBT workers and their allies. Trump's administration sided with that argument made by lawyers for the employers who had argued that the authors of the 1964 Civil Rights Act had not intended it to apply to cases involving sexual orientation and gender identity. All this and more violence as a protester in Albuquerque, New Mexico was shot by Trump's militia the aptly named the NM civil guard which local authorities have classified as terrorists who this time at least were arrested. so basically Trumps people are pro racial and sexual discrimination which is truly a backward step for humanity. The Americans have given the reins to a person who has no morals and conducts the role as his own personal piggy bank and private Army, when will America wake up and smell the racist and sexist BS been sprouted withing the halls of power.

In other headlines  Trump is set to sue to stop the publication of a tell-all book by John Bolton, his third national security adviser, stating at an event in the White House later in the day, that it would be up to the attorney general, William Barr, to issue any charges, but he hinted that the matter would end up in court. “We’ll see what happens. They’re in court or they’ll soon be in court,” Trump added about the boo, just as Trump's niece is set to publish an unflattering tell-all memoir about him. On 28 July, Mary Trump is due to release Too Much And Never Enough: How My Family Created the World's Most Dangerous Man, Simon & Schuster announced on Monday hitting the shelves just weeks before the Republican National Convention, when her uncle will accept the party's nomination for his re-election bid in November. The memoir will reportedly reveal how she supplied the New York Times with confidential documents to print a sprawling investigation into Mr Trump's personal finances, alleging Trump was involved in "fraudulent" tax schemes and received more than $400m (£316m) in today's money from his father's real estate empire with how specific events and general family patterns created the damaged man who currently occupies the Oval Office, including the strange and harmful relationship between Fred Trump and his two oldest sons, Fred Jr and Donald, which caused the president to dismiss and deride his father once he began to suffer from Alzheimer's. So Trump has very big skeletons in his closet and a family history of Alzheimer's disease which can be an explanation for his speech, his inability to drink properly, his erratic performances and outbursts, his lack of train of thought and his total demeanour.

So, as the world sits on a knife edge with several countries ready to start world war three, the headlines in the UK are concerned with the number of workers on UK payrolls diving by more than six hundred thousand between March and May, official figures suggest while, the number of people claiming work-related benefits including the unemployed went up by one hundred and twenty six percent to nearly three million. So in the midst of a deadly pandemic, several countries lining up for war and even more countries protesting the inequality of minority groups the biggest news is the UK's unemployment when it should be concerned about everything especially the fact that the world is looking like heading in to a economic depression which is scary. My brain cannot take this so I will call it a day.

Rant you Tomorrow!

Monday 15 June 2020

15/06/2020

Good day to all, as we start yet another new week in semi lockdown with shops set to reopen today in England with strict distancing rules, so shall we see what we can rant about today.

In America, As Trump struts his stuff celebrating his birthday, while the death toll from COVID-19 reaches one hundred and seventeen thousand people dead without any acknowledgement from the whitehouse on how or why this is happening, simply because Trump doesn't want a low turn out at his rallies. The shear audacity of this man is beyond belief. More and more questions are been asked of his sanity as it appears his break between reality and fiction grows wider each and every day. In numerous tweets over the weekend he called democrat opposition crazy for considering defunding police departments while his own attorney General breaks law after law to pacify this angry and grumpy old man, who is not fit to be president. He also tweeted how the silent majority is still stronger than ever which could be construed as a call to arms for his white supremacist brothers and then claiming democratic leadership in certain states and cities is weak because they refuse to militarise their streets specifically attacking Seattle's mayor and governor, all while condemning many of the future armed forces leaders to possible infection from coronavirus just so he could get his photo op saluting them, which is in itself is a condemnation, coming from a draft dodger with a dubious medical history. While he puffs out his chest to the cult of idiots that follow him, the innocent are still dying at the hands of a pandemic and countless violent police officers unfit for the role.

That's enough for today from America, let's turn to dear old Blighty and see what our own leader is not doing. So Johnson showed his face finally condemning the "far-right thugs" involved in violent protests on Saturday, which saw more than 100 people arrested in London after thousands gathered saying they were protecting statues, stating that the mission was "utterly absurd" adding that it was "deplorable" that Sir Winston Churchill's statue had been in danger of attack again sitting on the metaphoric fence. He also stated he was setting up a commission to look at inequality as it was "no use just saying that we have made huge progress in tackling racism adding there is much more that we need to do; and we will. It is time for a cross-governmental commission to look at all aspects of inequality - in employment, in health outcomes, in academic and all other walks of life". These remarks were condemned by shadow justice secretary David Lammy who stated that a number of inquiries into racial inequality had already been carried out, such as his own report on the treatment of black, Asian and minority ethnic individuals in the criminal justice system and Theresa May's Race Disparity Audit adding that you can understand why it feels like, yet again in the UK, we want figures, data, but we don't want action. On a radio interview Mr Lammy pointed out that black people weren't playing the victim as Johnson indicated, they're protesting precisely because the time for review is over and the time for action is now following up by stating the announcement lacked detail because it was "written on the back of a fag packet yesterday to assuage the Black Lives Matter protest", while calling for legislation and the recommendations of past reviews to be implemented.

So once again the ineptitude of our present prime minister has been called out by the opposition for lacking direction and gumption to carry out the simplest of tasks which has been proved by a leek of information which said Johnson had not chaired a COBRA group meeting in nearly a month which is absurd considering the need at the present time with a pandemic and civil unrest meaning there is no direct information been passed just third and forth hand memo's. It is proved time and time again that our elected politicians get there position on spouting BS and flim flam, but don't have the know how to follow up their words with action. Surely each governmental department has someone with the knowledge and capability to step from the shadows and show the inept elected officials how it's done. All this condemnation from the government while on the actual streets there are acts of humanity taking place like the group of black men who rescued a lone white man from been brutalised which shows the good people are trying to spread by bringing the racist element to task, why is the government sitting on their hands instead of acting? someone please get the answer!

Rant you tomorrow!

Sunday 14 June 2020

14/06/2020

Well here we are on another damp, dreary Sunday in June, as we look forward to Shops and businesses reopening tomorrow, which personally doesn't concern me except maybe employment chances may grow so let's see what crap is being spouted to rant about today.

Firstly in America as usual, There seems that yet another unprovoked shooting of a black man in Georgia has sparked more violence. In Atlanta, Georgia the police chief has resigned and an officer has been fired (only fired, but not yet charged) following a fatal police shooting of an African-American man who had fallen asleep in his car at a Wendy’s drive-thru. Erika Shields, the police chief stepped down as the killing of Rayshard Brooks, a 27-year-old black man, on Friday night sparked a new wave of protests and anger in the city over police brutality and racism. The terminated officer was identified as Garrett Rolfe, who was hired in October 2013, while another officer, Devin Brosnan, who was hired in September 2018, was placed on administrative duty, according to police spokesperson Sergeant John Chafee as the police department released body camera and dash camera footage from both officers. Keisha Lance Bottoms, Atlanta’s mayor, said she did not believe the killing was a “justified use of deadly force”. adding that it was Ms Shields' own decision to step down over the incident.

With all this going on in Georgia, the main news about Trump was that he has threatened to boycott sports leagues over Black Lives Matter protests which surely is an open call showing his racist views and I don't suppose those sports like the NFL and US Soccer are really bothered if Trump attends following there decisions to repeal bans on players kneeling during the national anthem amid ongoing Black Lives Matter protests. these sports bodies stated “We have not done enough to listen - especially to our players - to understand and acknowledge the very real and meaningful experiences of Black and other minority communities in our country,” the organisation said in a statement and also that he would “encourage all to speak out and peacefully protest”. So once again as America burns and more unarmed people are killed by white police officers, we see a mentally deranged and possibly physically hindered president lashing out at the protesters and supporters rather than the instigators. I could go on and on about his failings, but America is witnessing it for themselves and if they re-elect this racist, sexist, mentally deranged individual in November, I fear more for the rest of the world, as America will be lost anyway.

So let me take a look at dear old Blighty, the day after violence erupted in the capitol as a group claiming to march in protest at the treatment of public statues when all it was actually was a front for the far-right activists group looking to cause trouble. Scenes were caught by news outlets and BLM protesters of these arrogant individual making Monkey noises and physically attacking police officers for no reason at all. These counter protesters, mostly white men, in London and other cities had one thing on their minds as football hooligan groups teamed up with far right activists to cause unrest and violence on anyone they could find which turned in to battles with police who were bombarded with missiles, punches and kicks. We are seeing examples of an inherent racist feelings in a generation of white men and women who choose to forget that this country was made great on the back of those non white peoples of the world who prevailed through slavery, poverty and two world wars to give these idiots the right to live the lives they do. On the back of the violence there has been calls for the offenders pictures be distributed to employers, so they can be dismissed and hopefully arrested, but we still have not heard the prime minister stand up and openly condemn these protesters only saying racist thuggery has no place on our streets, eight words that mean nothing without his actions which he still has no intention of performing making him a useless, inept politician and governmental leader. It's about time we prevented any person even accused of or openly showing racism or sexism from even applying to be an elected official or run for parliament, this is the only way we can stop the in bred attitude that is destroying a once powerful empire.

Rant you tomorrow!

Saturday 13 June 2020

13/06/2020

And in to the weekend we go once more, They say days go slow in lockdown, but I feel they roll on and on just as fast whether or not you are isolated. Anyway let's take a look at what's rantable on this wet and misty Saturday.

In America, Trump has caved to criticism and has stated he is postponing his first post-coronavirus lockdown election rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma so it does not fall on a holiday commemorating the end of US slavery known as Juneteenth. The choice of date had drawn criticism amid nationwide anti-racism protests as did the location as Tulsa saw one of the worst massacres of black people in US history in 1921. The date and place was marked where up to 300 people died when a white mob attacked the prosperous black neighbourhood of Greenwood, known as the "Black Wall Street", with guns and explosives. About 1,000 businesses and homes were also destroyed. This is only one incident of many which lie undocumented as white law enforcement covered up racist murders acted out by known clan members throughout the US south. If George Floyd had been killed back in the sixties, it too would have gone undocumented which is why in today's society scenes like those witnessed in Georgia where KKK clans openly marched protected by law enforcement rather than it been broken up have top be disbursed.

In yet another biased Fox news network interview Trump was seen to say the controversial chokehold method for restraining some suspects should "generally speaking" be ended adding it would be a "very good thing" to ban chokeholds but they may still be needed in some situations followed by the concept of stopping police forces using chokeholds sounded "so innocent, so perfect".How can one man contradict himself within the same breath. These comments came as Democrats and Republicans in the US Congress try to hammer out the details of a police reform bill - the proposed Justice in Policing Act of 2020. Again Trump is clearly only reading the scripted answers he has had prepared for him and the words coming out of his mouth is election BS trying to win back votes he has lost since his actions of militarising the streets of America and condoning the use of violence and chemical weapons on his own people. All in all this guy is anti everything that doesn't promote him or his business and so prejudice it is scary. As well as trying to stop people voting in case he loses which I hope people do find a way to vote, he has know condone open prejudice in the health community who can now refuse to not only help sick LBGTQ people, but deliberately allow a person who has gender dysmorphia to go unaided which is clearly civil rights abuse and a failure in that doctors Hippocratic oath which should lead to the loss of their medical licence, which now can't happen under this new law. Donald Trump is clearly with the aid of some backward thinking Republican senators and governors trying to roll back time to an era when the wealthy elite could do no wrong.

I tell you even with our present government I am glad to be British, while I think on that, let's see what there is to rant about in dear old Blighty today. So it has happened in England as well, There are now restrictions been placed by police on several groups ahead of planned protests in London this weekend. The Metropolitan Police have stated several protests are scheduled in the capital on Saturday, including a Black Lives Matter demonstration. Certain measures have been outlined such as and including the events to end at five o'clock due to the violent scenes last weekend, but the police force warned (not asked nicely, but warned) protesters to reconsider attending at all, due to the coronavirus pandemic. Met Commander Bas Javid said "We are asking you not to come to London, and let your voices be heard in other ways,". This request comes on the back of violence and serious disorder that occurred in Westminster at the end of protests last weekend, where demonstrations were on the whole peaceful, although there were dozens of arrests and 27 police officers injured.

In the aftermath of certain memorials in America been targeted as promoting racism several well known statues of British people of a long past history are now been targeted within the UK, like the dumping of a prominent member of Bristol's past been dumped in the river prompting councils to board up or consider moving other statues around the country. In preparation for this weekends protest rallies, a statue of Winston Churchill has been boarded up for protection and according to his granddaughter, may have to be put in a museum to protect it if demonstrations continue. Emma Soames, the war-time prime minister's granddaughter stated how here grandfather was a "complex man" but was considered a hero by millions adding how "shocked" she was to see the monument in London's Parliament Square boarded up, although she understood why it was necessary to do so, as protesters daubed "was a racist" on the statue last weekend. Ms Soames also stated it was "extraordinarily sad that her grandfather, who was such a unifying figure in this country, appears to have become a sort of icon through being controversial. We've come to this place where history is viewed only entirely through the prism of the present". So as a country we're starting to forget the impact these individuals had on how our present has been shaped, whether good or bad, blaming them for atrocities some may have or may not have committed. This is down to the lack of proper history lessons in our education system and should be addressed letting the children of the present learn about the rights and wrongs of the past, so it can define their actions of the future. Again this shows the ineptitude of not just the present government, but the failures of previous governments to address the failing education platform isolating certain factors from the knowledge of children, only allowing certain history to be taught to certain age groups instead of giving them a wider basis to form their own opinions, which is what education is supposed to do.

In politics we are seeing the two faces of the government once again as they close ranks on the matter of Brexit. They have seen it fit to allow our nation to be split over the pandemic giving the Scottish and Welsh first ministers their own stand on how Scotland and Wales would fight the virus and control the lockdown, but the minute they put in requests to extend the Brexit transition period, the UK or English government states it will not extend the transition period. Nicola Sturgeon and Mark Drakeford had written to Boris Johnson to request an extension as they believe more time is required to complete negotiations and support businesses through recovery from the coronavirus pandemic, but Michael Gove confirmed there would be no extension beyond 31 December. So basically the government does not want their profiteering through a Brexit transition to be witnessed and regard themselves the best people to negotiate trade deals, what happened to a unified concept because I know as one person within this UK, if Scotland or wales decided it was time to remove themselves from the United Kingdom, so they could rejoin the Eu, I would gladly move out of England before the borders went up along the divides we call England, Scotland and Wales giving me a more realistic chance of a better life which I cannot see happening under the present government who are just in the position for themselves and don't give a flying F*** about their constituents. That's me done for another day.

Rant you tomorrow!

12/06/2020

We enter another Friday, which here in dear old Blighty is wet and chilly for a day in June, so maybe the scientists are right about global warning, but that is a rant for another day, let's see what we have for today shall we?

In America, Trump in a briefing has blamed the scenes of police brutality recorded at George Floyd protests across the US on “bad apples”, while also claiming that police and military have “dominated the streets with compassion” to maintain law and order and once again pledging to sign an executive order to establish a use-of-force standard, stopping short of broader reforms. he was speaking at a round table event in Dallas, Texas, where he sought to allay ongoing frustrations saying “We have to work together to confront bigotry and prejudice wherever they appear, but we will make no progress and heal no wounds by falsely labelling tens of millions of decent Americans as racist or bigots" all this while leaving out three of the states leaders who happened to be black and vote as democrats. Trumps administration failed to include Dallas chief of police, Sheriff and district attorney, so how can he have a round table on law and order without the very people responsible for police and law within the state. Meanwhile reiterating his threat to “take back” the streets of Seattle as the city faces ongoing unrest, despite mayor Jenny Durkan warning him that sending in the military would be “unconstitutional and illegal” and that the military was not wanted. Seattle state Governor Jay Inslee stated Trump should stay out of the state's business, and Seattle's mayor backed that up stating any military invasion of the city would be illegal. During the protest Seattle police abandoned a precinct there on Monday after days of clashes as Trump labelled the protesters domestic terrorists for taking back their streets even though since the police withdrew, demonstrations in the area have been largely peaceful as protesters have nicknamed the area Chaz, an abbreviation of Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone where hundreds of people have been gathering to demonstrate, hear speeches and attend events peacefully. While Trump did his big round table of one in Dallas, his political opponent Ex Vice President Joe Biden made his own relativity small prediction that the military will escort Trump from the White House should the president lose November’s election but refuse to leave office. Biden, told the Daily Show’s Trevor Noah, that his single greatest concern is that the president will “try to steal this election” citing Trump’s baseless linking of mail-in ballots to voter fraud, even though he has used this method of voting himself, and his accusations, without evidence, that Democrats are trying to rig the election. I, for one would love to see Trump handcuffed and escorted from the whitehouse straight to New York to face racketeering charges.

What many Americans are seeing is a presidency of one, no senate, no congress, no decision making task force, no cooperation, no constitution and definitely no interest in seeing any other point of view other than the bigoted, racist, narcissistic ranting of a mentally challenged ill equipped deranged individual whose career is sinking rapidly as he shows the country and the world his real face which is, of a failed real estate broker, a man that has declared bankruptcy a number of times on multiple occasions, a failed TV host who's greatest pleasure was using the words "You're Fired" which he seems to love to use as the president also and an ORANGE faced Nazi who has a narcissistic superiority complex which many other people have been hospitalised for. He will go down in history as the worst American president ever or better still will be wiped out of history totally only been used as an example of what not to do.

Anyway enough about America's problems, let's take a look at dear old Blighty's issues of the day. So basically, as Johnson cowers from the public within Downing street, yet another corrupt Tory minister is called out for profiteering as Housing Secretary Robert Jenrick comes under fire from opposition parties over his decision to grant planning permission for a one billion pound property scheme to a housing developer two weeks before the said developer donated twelve thousand pounds to the Conservative Party funds. Jenrick denies any link between the events, but his critics say he still has questions to answer, so will face MP's on Monday at his regular departmental question time. The big question that should be asked and investigated is did he disclose his contacts with the developer as he shared a table with property developer Richard Desmond at a fundraising dinner for the Conservative Party last November, a couple of months before he gave the green light for Mr Desmond's one billion pound Westferry Printworks scheme to build fifteen hundred homes in the Docklands of east London. A spokesperson for the housing secretary told the reporters that the developers did raise their application, but Mr Jenrick informed them that it would not be appropriate for them to discuss the matter with him, or for him to pass comment on it in other words they openly discussed the project as denial is the code for of course we did. We see time and time again the dumb ass politicians putting themselves in the firing line by their own stupidity.

While in other news, relatives of four hundred and fifty victims who have died in the coronavirus pandemic are demanding an immediate public inquiry. The families want an urgent review of "life and death" steps needed to minimise the continuing effects of the virus and a guarantee that documents relating to the crisis will be kept. A full inquiry would take place later, says lawyer, Elkan Abrahamson, who is representing the families, as the government stance is that its current focus should be on dealing with the pandemic, but the COVID-19 Bereaved Families for Justice UK group say immediate lessons need to be learned to prevent more deaths, and that waiting for ministers to launch an inquiry will cost lives. So basically as the families grieve the government covers up their ineptitude with constant BS and politically motivated hype that no one needs to know with statistics only the people producing them understands. What this country really needs is a government body they can believe in and trust rather than the present untrustworthy prime minister and cabinet who all preach the BS and try to make believe they really believe it too.

That's me done for today,

Rant you tomorrow!
