In America, With the month rolling on we see yet another systematic flaunting of the law as Trump commutes Roger Stones sentence handed down for lying to, withholding information from a congressional committee and witness tampering which has led to leading Democrats condemning Trump's action. Biden's spokesman has accused Trump of abuse of power and "laying waste" to US values. Stone has not yet been pardoned and has only be spared any time spent in jail which came just after a court denied Stone's request to delay the start date of his 40-month prison term. Stone was the sixth Trump aide found guilty on charges linked to a justice department probe that alleged Russia tried to boost the Trump 2016 campaign. Trump's Whitehouse staff has stated that Stone was the victim of an attempt by opponents to undermine the presidency causing political critics to accuse Trump of undermining the justice system by criticising criminal cases against Stone and other former aides. This is just another in a long line of Trump lackey's who have been jailed which Trump has publicly complained about. How can a country sit back and still adore this corrupt, narcissistic piece of **** who at every turn undermines a system developed to better the people not condone and excuse the values of humankind. If America doesn't show up in force to oust this repugnant man in November, then you deserve everything that comes to you in the next four years, but don't expect the world to come to your rescue because there is no hope of that happening and more than likely the scenario set out in the movie 'Red Dawn' will come to pass as Russia invades with the help of Trump himself, unless the idiot calls for a nuclear attack on China first.
In other headlines, yet another associate of Trump's is begging not to be sent to prison as Ghislaine Maxwell's lawyers argue that due to the risk of contracting coronavirus in jail she should be released on bail of $5m (£4m) while awaiting trial for sex trafficking minors. The British socialite was arrested on July 2nd and is accused of assisting convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein's abuse of minors which she is said to vigorously deny
as documents submitted by New York prosecutors allege that between 1994 and 1997 Ms Maxwell helped Epstein groom girls as young as 14. Epstein died in prison on 10th August as he awaited his trial on sex trafficking charges and his death was determined to be suicide. The circle of deceit keeps getting smaller and smaller around Trump as more and more people from his past end up being accused or sentenced of wrong doing which at some point the shit has to stick as evidence comes to light of Trump's own involvement in many of these peoples life styles and crimes, he can't hide out on his big Whitehouse for ever claiming immunity of office.
Anyway enough about Trump, let's check out dear old Blighty and the other corrupt politician. So as Scotland's first minister makes it mandatory to wear face masks, both on public transport and in shops, Johnson is still dithering around with his thumb up his ass as MP's call for the government to clarify its position on face coverings following Johnson's statement that a "stricter" approach to their use in England was needed and that he was now considering making face coverings mandatory in shops in England to slow the spread of coronavirus. Currently people in England are advised to wear a face covering in enclosed public spaces where social distancing is not possible along with the mandatory requirement to wear one on public transport and when visiting hospitals. Once again we see how Scotland is leading the way on how to tackle the pandemic and maybe Nicola Sturgeon should replace Johnson in making the hard decisions because clearly Johnson's inept attitude has caused a good percentage of the deaths now reported. To top this ineptitude off we now hear that the UK will not be joining the EU's COVID-19 vaccine scheme. The UK ambassador to the EU has stated if the UK joined the scheme it would have no say on decisions including the price of the vaccine or which manufacturers they could negotiate with meaning the UK would not be able to pursue parallel negotiations with potential vaccine suppliers. The EU Commission plans to enter into agreements with individual vaccine producers on behalf of the bloc's member states as part of the multi-million pound programme which in return gives them the right to buy a specified number of vaccine doses in an agreed time frame with a set price and that the Commission will finance a part of the vaccine producer's upfront costs. Again and again we are seeing the pitfalls of Brexit as we stand alone in a diverse situation where we should be combining with other countries to stem the flow of the pandemic and fight to find common ground on developing a way to eradicate the virus, but no, Johnson's government continually finds ways to alienate the UK from it's allies while putting more people's lives at risk just so they can feel they are more important than Europe, when in fact we are just a little island of little consequence anymore filled with bigots and racists becoming more and more Americanised in our political thinking. What is next? Separate from the UN, so we don't have to send British soldiers in to fight against terrorists and common enemies.
This country is slowly becoming an isolated and lonely piece of rock with very little worth to the world economy which will drive us further in to an economic recession where the fat cats build a dystopian colony where the inhabitants are bullied and oppressed creating a big brother state which is been seen at the moment with the lockdown protocols, the apps following peoples interaction and with the news that Johnson wants a taskforce creating to find ways that the conservative government can curb the powers of NHS England and increase the health secretary’s ‘powers of direction’ over it, so that he doesn’t have to try to persuade Simon Stevens (the head of NHS England) to do something. All this just because the health secretary Matt Hancock is frustrated at how limited his powers are and wants to get some of that back. In other words the government wants to hold the purse strings and tell the head of the NHS what to do, rather than making suggestion which can be rejected. In my opinion the government wants a regime in place that can do what they want without any external oversight from a board or body that can reject any proposals and they aren't stopping there as taskforce's are being set up to do the same with universities and the military. As I said earlier Boris Johnson is trying to build a world thought up by George Orwell and create a dystopian society within the British Isles where he is the man watching everything that society does on hundreds of little monitors set up in Downing street.
