And we reach another weekend in which Americans will be celebrating beating the British in Seventeen Seventy six and the British will be celebrating been able to go to pub for the first time since lockdown started. So let's take a look what's out there to rant about today.

As usual America first, so as America rises on the fourth of July two thousand and twenty, all there forefathers would be turning in their graves if they could see the way the country has disintegrated in to a cesspool of hatred, bigotry and has certainly lost the title as the land of Freedom and Liberty for all. The so called president used the backdrop of Mount Rushmore to spout more BS which he believes to be true. Trump took this re-election photo opportunity moment to not praise the American people for their service or bravery, but instead railed against what he calls the "cancel culture" of those who toppled monuments during recent anti-racism protests. He condemned those who targeted statues of Confederate leaders as "angry mobs". He then went on to call the racial equality demonstrations "a merciless campaign to wipe out our history, defame our heroes, erase our values, and indoctrinate our children". As an outsider what I see is a man inciting violence and trying to provoke a second civil war as he shows his true colours of an upper class white privileged racially and sexually abusive bigoted man which gives the rest of us middle and lower class white men a bad image. He went on to state that "We will not be silenced," the question that needs to be asked is who is he classing in the 'WE' part of that statement (the KKK, the White Supremacists, or the Neo-Nazi's, it definitely wasn't the indigenous peoples of America ) as he stood along his oppressed wife with their backs to the monument which in itself is controversial as Mount Rushmore features the carved faces of four US presidents, two of whom (George Washington and Thomas Jefferson) were slave-owners themselves. It also stands on land that was taken from the indigenous Lakota Sioux tribe who was displaced by the US government in the eighteen hundreds, this clearly showed how much of a White Supremacist, KKK clan member and openly visible Neo-Nazi Trump is. He also stated that American schools, American newsrooms, even American corporate boardrooms, contain a new far-left fascism that demands absolute allegiance. If you do not speak its language, perform its rituals, recite its mantras and follow its commandments, then you will be censored, banished, blacklisted, persecuted and punished, but surely what he believes in is exactly that. Doesn't he preach a racial and sexist ideology that performs it rituals every Sunday that recites it's mantra's and follows it's ten commandments known as the Christian church (I am a christian, but disagree with Trump's evangelical beliefs) along with a second ideology that condones the use of physical violence, racial, sexual and gender oppression, was he talking about himself do you think?

The one thing that Trump did not mention in his speech which he has been heavily criticised for in recent days was the coronavirus pandemic disease that has now claimed almost one hundred and thirty thousand American lives recording its largest single-day rise in coronavirus infections on Friday, bringing the total to more than two and a half million recorded cases of infection, the most of any country. What was also very noticeable at the celebration was the lack of masks been worn and the use of any social distancing protocols which were not deemed mandatory at the Mount Rushmore event, despite warnings by health officials. Another omission from Trump on the night was the fact that Native American groups had openly criticised Trump's visit for posing a health risk, and for celebrating US independence in an area that is sacred to them as many Native Americans do not celebrate Independence Day because they associate it with the colonisation of their tribal homelands and the loss of their cultural freedoms again where is the slogan 'land of the free and the land of liberty' been practised by this president.

Ahead of the event, a group of mostly Native American protesters blocked a main road to the monument with white vans, leading to a tense stand-off with police who consisted of officers and National Guard soldiers, who using smoke bombs and pepper spray to disperse the peaceful protest which included some native American dancing and chanting with no evidence of guns, bows and arrows or tomahawks to be seen. The vans were towed away and several protesters were arrested after the police declared the road block an "unlawful assembly".  so a group of natives performing an  ancestral show peace is an unlawful assembly, but a white man openly inciting violence and racism is now lawful, baffles me where the logic in all this is, as once again we see Trump using unnecessary force on peaceful American citizens just so he could have his photo opportunity. Surely America is finally waking up to what kind of man Trump is and cannot allow him to continue on as president.

On that note let's see if dear old blighty has anything to rant about today. So today marks the first day pubs, restaurants, hairdressers and cinemas in England are opening their doors for the first time in three months after a major relaxation of coronavirus lockdown restrictions, but it concerns me greatly because yesterday for the first time apart walking to the corner shop I ventured out to a major retail chains premises which had about a couple of dozen shoppers and staff mulling around inside trying to keep to the two metre ruling, but out of those couple of dozen people including myself, I was the only person wearing a mask and I also took note that no member of staff was bothering to sanitise shopping baskets properly, so how the hell can we prevent the spread of this virus if people don't have concern for their own chances of being infected let alone infecting a complete stranger, all this and the pubs weren't even open yet.

As businesses open today
Johnson urged people to act responsibly and must observe strict social distancing rules as measures are eased, while the government's scientific advisers have stated the latest step was not "risk-free" and the health secretary Matt Hancock stated people were entitled to enjoy themselves at pubs, but added those who choose to start fights or cause other disorder "could end up behind bars if they break the law". All this as the latest figures show a further 137 people have died after testing positive for coronavirus in the UK, bringing the total number of deaths to 44,131.

With all this fresh possibility of a new wave of infections NHS staff have marched on Downing Street to protest the governments handling of the pandemic which has happened just days before the government asks the populous to celebrate the seventy second anniversary of the founding of the National Health Service. The celebration plans to light up dozens of landmarks across the country blue ahead of the health service's anniversary on Sunday, people are also being encouraged to take part in a weekend of celebration and remembrance putting a light in their window to remember those who have died in the coronavirus pandemic, and on Sunday evening, households across the UK will take to their doorsteps for a nationwide clap for NHS workers. So Johnson and the rest of his cabinet of lackeys believe buildings coloured blue and more useless clapping will honour the staff of the NHS when better protection, better pay and better respect from the fore mentioned government and hospital trust board members would go much further to say thank you than a couple of worthless gesture which will be forgotten twenty four hours later. Come on Johnson show some back bone and a set of steel balls that is definitely lacking at the moment within our elected members of parliament. Stop doing push up in your office as a photo opportunity and put your heart where it should be and support the medical professionals financially especially as they supposedly saved your life just a few short weeks ago, also remember it's Contact Testing not Contract Tasting. On that note that's all from today.

Rant you tomorrow!
