Once again we rise on a Sunday which used to be a sacred day, but in these times any day is sacred, but let's see what there is to rant about today.

In America, fresh headlines are coming to us of Trump's single-mindedness and disrespect for the American people as footage of Trump's campaign who were directed to remove thousands of "Do Not Sit Here, Please!" stickers from seats at the Tulsa, Oklahoma, arena where he held a campaign rally, according reported by the Washington Post. The campaign told the Post it followed the rules but did not comment on a video that appears to show the stickers being removed. This just shows how this man thinks of himself first and last without a thought for anyone else, not even his own family, but while his country suffers and he should be trying to combat the pandemic, economic collapse and inequality, he concentrates his efforts on his reelection, no matter the cost to life and on his one man war with China. As his country calls for change Trump is clearly focused on his own priorities by allowing police and military brutality, saving race related art and statues, firing or suing people who disagree with him and playing down how the pandemic that has killed so many globally as states start to re-impose lockdown, but worst of all is his ongoing battle with China which expanded away from his own country this week to him inserting himself in to talks between Hitachi and the Chinese government by intervening in discussions about the next generation of nuclear power on Anglesey in the UK. According to reports, the US president's administration has warned Hitachi, the company behind the site, not to sell it on to the Chinese government which is a sign of escalating tensions between the Americans and the Chinese as the White House is heaping pressure on Hitachi (a Japanese-owned company) not to sell on its interest into the site to Beijing.

So as Trump alienates more and more people globally, his latest adversary is the Rolling Stones who have warned Trump that he could face legal action if he continues using their songs at his campaign rallies. A statement from the band's legal team said it was working with the performing rights organisation, the BMI, to stop the unauthorised use of their music. The Trump campaign used the song You Can't Always Get What You Want at last week's rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma which prompted a statement released on Saturday, representatives for the group said that "further steps to exclude" Mr Trump from using Rolling Stones material in future presidential campaigning was necessary after previous "cease and desist directives" had been ignored. The BMI has reportedly notified the Trump campaign on behalf of the Stones that the use of their songs without permission will constitute a breach of its licensing agreement, and would be subject to legal action. Even in the fact that Trump and his administration send out cease and desist notices to many different companies and individuals they believe they are immune to reprisals by ignoring notices themselves. As I keep stating time and time again Trump is a narcissist that cares about no one, but himself.

On that I need to move on and take a look at dear old Blighty. As we head towards more restrictions being eased next month, Johnson issued a fresh message to people ignoring social distancing rules declaring he will make the "necessary closures" in the event of local outbreaks of coronavirus which comes after Bournemouth declared a major incident on Thursday, after a deluge of 500,000 visitors caused chaos as they gridlocked roads and dumped tonnes of rubbish as crowds flocked to the beach. Johnson stated if similar scenes are repeated and infections spike, he will reimpose restrictions on the towns affected.

What dumbfounds me personally is why do people need to head to the coast the minute the temperature rises especially when we are just starting to make headway in the fight against the pandemic, the ignorance and mentality of some is just ridiculous putting sun,sea and sand above the wellbeing of themselves, their families and other people.

So as we close out an other week in lockdown the stupidity of individuals not only in America, but also in the UK could spread a second wave of the virus pushing the world in to lockdown further in to this disastrous start to a new decade. That's all from me to day.

Rant you tomorrow!
