Stepping in to yet another new dawn what can one expect to find to tell us life will return to normal or be changed forever, so let's see what there is to rant about today.
As usual let's take a look at America, so once again Trump has taken to twitter to argue that 'Black Lives Matter' protesters angered by the police killing of George Floyd would have wiped out the city of Minneapolis had he not sent in the National Guard to stop the demonstrations which was a clear breach of the constitution, also picking fights with CNN anchor Chris Cuomo and Dr Anthony Fauci as he seeks to distract from the resurgent coronavirus. Dr Fauci who warned on Thursday that the US was “not going in the right direction” after the country reported fifty five thousand new cases of COVID-19 in a day, beating the world record for a daily rise set by Brazil on June Nineteenth. The states of Arizona, California, Florida and Texas alone accounted for twenty five thousand of that total as assistant health secretary Brett Giroir cautioned: “We are not flattening the curve right now. The curve is still going up", while the leader of the free 'so called' world sticks his head in the sand. Well it seems like Trump is really losing control at the moment as more Republican Governors and Senators quietly back away from him as they see there own futures slowly disintegrate as he picks fights with the very people he needs to help him get re-elected, instead of standing up to be counted when it comes to decisions made on behalf of the country at large. He still calls the Russia Bounty incident a 'Hoax', he still takes pot shots at 'China' for the virus, he still can be seen not wearing a 'Mask' in public, he can still be seen ignoring the experts and believing he knows more than anyone else, he still thinks more of dead 'Confederates' over living multi racial 'Unionists', he still shows no contempt for 'White Supremacists' or 'Neo-Nazis', he still openly 'Lies' to the country about the severity of COVID-19's resurgence and the economic decline stating that nearly five million jobs were created in June, which was only a percentage of the 'FORTY MILLION' people who filed for unemployment since February.
What he can't be seen doing is actually leading the country the way presidents of the past have and honouring the constitution that is the foundation of America society was built on unless it's the one's that give his supporters immunity from justice. There are a couple of small headlines that will have him running for his bunker which is the decision by a New York court that ruled publishers can release Trump's niece's tell-all memoir about the US first family. Wednesday's ruling reverses a lower court's decision to award a restraining order to Ms Trump's uncle, but the book may yet not be published due to a confidentiality agreement which will be ruled on next week. Also his little knees must shaking over the news that British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell, an ex-girlfriend of convicted paedophile and Trump BFF Jeffrey Epstein, has been charged in the US after being arrested by the FBI.She is accused of assisting Epstein's abuse of minors by helping to recruit and groom victims known to be underage by the new prosecutor for the New York Southern District where Trump recently had the predecessor sacked. Basically as Trump knocks one adversary down, three or more step up to be counted so that no more travesties of justice can be swept under the carpet by a politically corrupt president. Trump is facing countless battles on countless fronts which has been a long time coming, all I hope for is that the people of America show there disrespect for this individual by putting feet on the ground come polling day in November, then that the justice system will act by inditing, convicting and imprisoning him as the first US president in history to be jailed. As I said before if Biden has skeletons in his closet, let them stay hidden till he chooses a strong female running partner and defeats Trump, than by all means impeach him giving America there first MADAM PRESIDENT!!!
So enough about America, what's going on in dear old Blighty. So Johnson moves us closer to closer to a similar government system to America, by announcing that there are plans to introduce daily televised press briefings later this year. he claims the new format, similar to that used by the White House in the United States, is expected to come in by October. he has stated that the recent daily televised coronavirus briefings showed the public wanted more "direct engagement" with decision-makers and it is understood that an experienced broadcaster will be recruited to host the question-and-answer sessions, as he himself appearing every day was "not the plan" but he would be "popping up from time to time". At the moment political journalists are able to question the prime minister's official spokesperson, a civil servant off camera every day. This isn't a surprise as Johnson keeps trying to distance us from our allies in the common market and turn himself in to a president rather than prime minister shielding himself from the day to day chores of office, next we will see him asking the queen to disband the royal family and do away with the monarchy all together turning the United Kingdom into a republic of two parties blue and red turning back the clock to Cromwellian times. I keep saying it we cannot endure another four years of this pompous Etonian schoolboy BS that Johnson constantly portrays when trying his one up man ship on his opposition like his recent claim that "Newt-counting delays are a massive drag on the prosperity of this country." which has led to him been accused of inventing an allegation that wildlife rules are holding back house-building, a fact refuted by environmental groups saying the allegation is a political trick with no basis in fact.
So while the rest of the world get on with there own little or big issues here in dear old Blighty Johnson fancies himself a Trump clone, our government is focused on getting themselves on TV more and the breeding habits of newts instead of saving lives by curbing the early lockdown, growing the economy in a sensible manner by cancelling Brexit or at least delaying it and having cross party negotiations to resurrect a sinking ship of blunders made by politicians past and present.
