And on through the week we trundle with no clear insight of how the world is going to recover from COVID, America is going to recover from Trump and the UK is going to recover after Brexit. But that is how the year of hell has been since January rang in the New Year. Let’s have a look at the shitstorms brewing, shall we?
Well America is still in the grasp of the election as Trump refuses to concede that he lost the race to the Whitehouse and sends in the corrupt DOJ (Department of Justice) to investigate fraud in the ballots counted even though the DOJ is supposed to act on behalf of the people not be the president’s personal lawyer. US attorney general Barr has allowed prosecutors to probe alleged irregularities in the presidential election, prompting a senior justice department official to quit. This is a clear breach of the constitution having the Attorney General (AG) over ruling state legislator to look in to fraud instead of the separate states Once again we see Barr doing Trump’s dirty work rather than doing what is right for the people. Trump’s campaign is seeking an emergency injunction in Pennsylvania to prevent Mr Biden's victory being certified in the state which is the right of the campaign, but the AG should not be using his illegal power to do it for the Trump campaign.
While Barr works illegally on the fraud investigation by sending a memo outlining his belief that there was widespread voting fraud, said memo has prompted the resignation of the Justice Department's top prosecutor for election crimes, Richard Pilger, who stated he would step down from that post in response to the attorney general's memo, according to an email he sent to colleagues. In response to the memo Biden campaign lawyer Bob Bauer stated Mr Barr's memorandum authorising investigations “will only fuel the 'specious, speculative, fanciful or far-fetched claims' he professes to guard against”. The world was warned of what Trump would do if he lost the election and he is living up to that scenario which is making it look more and more likely that he will have to be forcefully evicted from the peoples house come January.
To add fuel to the fire of the conspiracy theories The Trump campaign is spreading, Whitehouse Press Secretary, Kayleigh McEnany has used the Office of the people backed by the Stars and Stripes flags to instead of update the nation on matters of importance started to push more propaganda over unproven “illegal votes”, without providing the necessary evidence to back up the claims. This a women deeply disturbed and clearly brainwashed by the cult that is Trump because even before she took the role as Trump's spokesperson in April, McEnany was a seasoned defender of the president. This outburst was seen as inflammatory and was promptly cut away from by all networks. What was more surprising was the fact that Fox News was actually one of the networks that cut short the briefing as Fox’s news anchor Neil Cavuto stated that "Unless she has more details to back that up… I can't continue showing this”, adding: "That's an explosive charge to make." Is Fox news finally growing a set of balls and stepping up, I doubt that is the case! They are just becoming scared of the fact they have given a madman the air time in the past to spread propaganda and it will come back to bite them on the ass come January with the loss of advertisement money.
The other news which isn’t at all shocking is that Trump decided to take out his election frustrations on Defence Secretary Mark Esper, whom Trump fired yesterday by tweet. Was it an act of vengeance or was it strategic move for what Trump has planned next to disrupt the America on the world standing. Esper was on record for defying Trump over the use of military on the streets of America to crush the burgeoning BLM movement nationwide. As protests rocked the US following the death of George Floyd at the hands of police in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in May, Trump threatened to use troops to suppress unrest, but in June, Esper, a former army officer, stated the use of active-duty forces was unnecessary, in remarks that were known to have displeased the Trump which clearly put Esper neck on the chopping block even though Trump has once again given no concrete reasoning for the dismissal. On the other hand replacing Esper with someone loyal to Trump would indicate a darker reason for the sudden and unethical termination which could involve writing in to law via executive orders some damning and far reaching policies to hamper the first 100 hundred days for Biden’s presidency as an act of vengeance by a mentally unstable man. Basically America be aware the madman will not go quietly, he will seek vengeance on all who stand in his way and when the day of reckoning comes due, history will see Trump as the man who tried to destroy democracy by inciting fascist groups to cause violence.
On that sickening note I will check out dear old Blighty for the latest crap been spread. So the UK is in partial lockdown which means that Scotland and Wales are free to leave their homes while we in England are house bound till December, but there is some supposed good news as a vaccine is close to completion. It was announced on Monday that a COVID-19 vaccine, has been found to be 90% effective in preventing people from getting the virus. Health Secretary Hancock described the development as “promising news” but, with England currently less than a week into a month-long lockdown, warned it was only “one step of many we need to get out of this and to tackle this pandemic once and for all”. Yet even if the vaccine does work, it could still be well in to 2021 before it could be used nationwide which means the government still needs to get the spread under control in some shape or form to prevent more deaths which already stands at nearly 50,000 dead. This news of a possible vaccine comes as figures showed the number of people dying continued to be above normal levels for this time of year, with 1,597 deaths mentioning COVID on the death certificate in the last week of October - up from 1,126 the week before. We see no end to this onslaught of an invisible killer coupled with the incompetency’s of the government in managing the best strategies to combat the growing pandemics second wave. So as the world spins out of control between pandemic and politics it’s the common folk like us that bears the brunt of the problems including financial issues while the rich scathe through barely harmed. Until there is an equality of people the world will keep on revolving, the people always feel downtrodden and nothing will change while corruption rule the halls of politics.
When America resurfaces from it fascist overlord and Britain over throws the money hungry morons in charge then we may actually see a world remerging in to the light with a future we can live with. My mind today is up in the air and my words are counterintuitive of my feelings about the world we exist in. I find the way people find numerous ways to ignore what is happening right in front of their faces like blinkered race horses told what and where they can go, with no will of their own or a want to change.
