10/8/2020

Hey it's the start to another week in the mysterious world of  the unknown future, but only you can control your future, so wear a mask always and stop the bloody hugging. Anyway let's see what crap is happening out there.

First let's check in with America where as more and more people find themselves unemployed Trump has signed an executive order without the backing of the Democrats. This executive action is to provide economic aid to millions of Americans hit by the pandemic, saying he was forced to do so after talks at Congress broke down. The directives which is exactly what the Republicans wanted includes measures to support the unemployed, suspend payroll tax and extend student loans, yet some or all of these categories are likely to face legal challenges given that Congress controls federal spending, not the president. Trump presumptive presidential opponent Democratic Joe Biden stated that the order contained "a series of half-baked measures". What is not known due to this executive order is whether it means the end to talks between senior government officials and top Democrats for a stimulus package. Negotiations broke down on Friday after two weeks. The measures set out by the order is that it would provide up to $400 (£306, double what is currently paid to the unemployed in the UK) per week in supplemental unemployment benefits to tens of millions of jobless Americans which is less than the $600 people had been receiving until the 31st July, when the benefit expired. Trump's order also states that individual states would have to cover 25% of the new payments where as the previous benefit was fully funded by the federal government and also means that the extra payment may end up amounting to only $300 a week dependant on the states budget. What is more sickening, isn't the fact that Trump has yet again made a unilateral decision without congress or senate approval, but that the words he used to announce this diabolical unlawful order which was demeaning to millions of people stated that "This is the money they need, this is the money they want, this gives them an incentive to go back to work," during a news conference on Saturday from his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey where yet again he spent his weekend playing golf while those unemployed people he was talking about go hungry. So a man who has conned, stole and fraudulently laundered millions of taxpayers money for his own benefit is now telling the American people that are unemployed due to no fault of their own that they should be happy to get $300 a week because living on the poverty line will encourage them to find work in an economy where there is currently no employment because he stuttered his way in to lockdown and then accelerated blindly in to the reopening of the country just so he could start his reelection campaign causing a now estimated twenty million unemployed (a rise from the six million in February), five million positive virus cases and over one hundred and sixty two thousand deaths. This death toll under Trump (a peacetime president) is the worst loss of American lives under a sitting president since world war two which is more than the combined deaths of soldiers fighting in Korea, Vietnam, The gulf war, Afghanistan and Iraq added together and he sits in his white castle saying he administration has the best record for combating the virus.

Trump has to be the worst president in the history of the United States of America, but what is more bizarre about this order is the fact that Republicans were trying to add there own proviso's on to the bill which Democrats initially asked for to be three Trillion dollars and later reduced it to two Trillion dollars, but wouldn't agree to the republicans one Trillion dollars offer. The proviso's that Republicans also tried to add on to the bill were far ranging from raiding the Social Security fund to defunding police, schools and hospitals to adding funds to buy F35 planes, What do they need more planes for? This just shows you the mentality of the uber rich corrupt Republicans who have thrown support and money behind a corrupt inept presidents reelection campaign, not to mention nationwide law suits to fight against voters rights to suppress who can or can't vote come November 3rd. Come on America open your eyes and see the damage the uber rich republicans are doing to not only your economy, lives and civil rights, but to the standing of your country within the world with their pettiness of withholding laws that aid the population over big business, their presidents pettiness and temper tantrums when he doesn't get his own way or his on going unilateral fight with China, the money hungry lifers who no longer serve the state they pledge their loyalty to and their withdrawal from different world organizations alienating you from world oversight for health, acts of aggression or basic civil liberties the country was founded on.

Well that's all on America for today, let's skip across the pond and check in on dear old Blighty. As Johnson pushes school reopening he is been urged to boost the government's coronavirus test and trace scheme in order to safely reopen schools next month, with calls for teachers and students to be tested as often as once a week even if not showing symptoms. As reported previously the prime minister had declared it a "national priority" to get all children back into the classroom from the start of the new academic year in September while scientific advisers have warned that "trade-offs" may be needed, impacting businesses or social lives and concerns remain about whether sufficient coronavirus safeguarding measures are in place. This advice coming as the Department of Health and Social Care have confirmed that in the 24-hour period up to 9 o'clock on Sunday morning the ninth of August there had been a further 1,062 lab-confirmed cases, the first time the daily total has gone over 1000 since June. Overall, a total of 310,825 cases have been confirmed.

Teachers are starting to show more concern for the safeguarding of children's welfare as the new school year draws closer stating that their role is to safe guard children and that keeping staff, students and their families safe was vital, so the government needed to get things like 'track and trace' working really well before schools reopen while the governments Education Secretary has stated that there is little evidence of coronavirus being transmitted in schools and that the government was being guided by the best science as it accelerated plans to reopen schools to all pupils in England next month.

I know in my heart that the country needs to move forward towards normality, but until there is sufficient proof to show it is safe for children to resume their school education over their home schooling my opinion would be to air on the side of caution and not reopen schools just so kids can become lab rats having their symptoms checked weekly and their DNA filed away on governmental databases for all time which is a gross misconduct of their civil rights. Also I have said it before and I will say it again how can the country be advised on morals by a corrupt power hungry man like Johnson who has never took part in raising his own kids other than being a holiday dad tell other parents it is their 'moral duty' to send their kids in to the lions den of COVID-19 uncertainty, especially when his past is riddled with being sacked twice for lying, misleading the Queen, unlawfully suspending parliament so he could push through Brexit unchallenged and openly back immoral characters within his own government who flout policies, commit sexual assaults and subvert procedures in the name of donations to the conservative party. I will leave you to think that one over.

Rant you tomorrow!
