I have lost count of how lockdown has lasted so far, but that won't stop the ranting. Let's see if there's anything today.

As usual we'll start with America, So Trump once again showed his white supremacist privileged colours again by retweeting a video showing one of his supporters loudly shouting "white power" as supporters and opponents of the president hurled abuse and swore at one another. This supporter was one of a group of people who took part in a pro-Trump rally at a retirement complex in Florida. Later in the day after outrage at the retweet Trump deleted the tweet after accusations that he is seeking to capitalise on racial tensions were raised. His spokesman says he did not hear the "white power" comment. I think either twitter should delete his account or the big baby should have his phone taken off him because he clearly does not think before tweeting or retweeting. What you see is a baby boomer that was clearly a mistake of the celebration at the end of world war two. As Trump condoned white power movements once again his ineptitude to lead the country showed again by his blatant silence on the rise in COVID-19 cases exploding and setting record infection rates, by spending the weekend on his own often divisive obsessions, piling up new evidence for detractors who say he's not fit for office. He ignored the implications of the disastrous US government response to the worst public health crisis in 100 years, even though it emerged that the White House is taking vigorous efforts to protect him from infection at rallies that contravene social distancing and masking guidelines, and that put even his own supporters at risk of getting sick, but did find time to make two trips to his Virginia course, despite boasting that he cancelled a weekend trip to his New Jersey resort to make sure "law and order is enforced" in Washington, DC. Please America for the good of the world get rid of this orangutan of a president.

So while one world leader plays golf amidst the death and destruction of his nation let's check in on the the world leader of the clown club in dear old Blighty. Johnson has said the UK will need an economic approach like the one enacted by former president Franklin D Roosevelt in his 'New Deal' out of the US's Great Depression, but there will be "some bumpy times" as the UK comes out of coronavirus and that the Government would now "double-down on our initial agenda", confirming he will set out his domestic vision during a speech in Dudley tomorrow. Johnson is all big talk about how this is the time to invest in infrastructure and is the time to make those long-term decisions for the good of the country, but how can he promise to invest big when there is no ending in sight for Brexit, no ending in sight for the pandemic and a government that is filled with inept and incompetent ministers.
On that note that's me done for today.

Rant you tomorrow!
