We meander on through Tuesday as the pandemic scorches the earth and politicians backtrack there lives away, so what has the populous seen and heard today that's rantable.

Firstly in America, as COVID-19 continues its unstoppable surge through the US states, Trump is gauging his accusations and pointing them clearly in the direction of US infectious disease chief Dr Anthony Fauci as tensions rise between the health expert and the president. The White House has been increasingly critical of Dr Fauci, and on Sunday, an official shared a list detailing past apparent erroneous comments pointing out things like Dr Fauci's changing advice on masks and remarks on COVID-19's severity as the administration moves to undercut Fauci making him the scapegoat for Trump's inadequacy with recorded cases rising daily and the death toll surpassing 135,000 dead nationwide with no end in sight. Now because Fauci has contradicted Trump's comments on the pandemic publicly a number of times, pushing back at the president's claims that the outbreak is improving and attributing hasty state reopening to the recent surges, causing Trump to speak openly stating how he had a very good relationship with Dr Fauci for a long time from the beginning and that he finds him to be a very nice person, going on to say I don't always agree with him, while politically backstabbing him ready to shell out blame at Fauci's feet. Like everything Trump does, he lies, he cheats, he ignores better qualified people then when the shit hits the fan he accuses those individuals who were right all along and lays the blame for his mistakes on them.

And while all this political sham is going on,and Trump backtracking on certain things another state goes back in to lockdown. California has reimposed restrictions on businesses and public spaces amid a spike of coronavirus infections in America's most populated state. The governor as of yesterday has ordered an immediate halt to all indoor activities at restaurants, bars, entertainment venues, zoos and museums as well as ordering the worst-affected counties of the south-western US state, to also close churches, hairdressers and gyms as the number of recorded cases surpasses three hundred and thirty thousand with more than seven thousand deaths out of a populous of nearly forty million people which is a twenty percent rise in positive tests making California along with Florida (one of Trumps strong hold states) an epicentre of the virus as more and more cases come to light after people visit beaches to soak of the heat. Basically the problem lies with incompetence and stupidity in a cross section of the populous who claim to love the country disobeying simple requests to socially distance and isolate because they feel it is against their constitutional rights and will not be told what they can or can't do while listening to a person who is segregated off from the reality of the truth, mentally incompetent to make decisions, gets his kicks from driving golf buggies fast, pretending to drive big trucks and believes it's his god given right to be the King of America, Lord of the World and Emperor of Humanity, but is just a toddler throwing his toys out of the pram when he is chastised, come on America wake up and save your own lives by standing out from the crowd, which if everyone puts their own wellbeing first will help others at the same time. Enough about America's big baby and let's take a look at dear old Blighty's toddler in charge.

The main problem is the dithering that Johnson and his cabinet seem to do over the decisions they make, along with the mixed messages they keep sending out to the public which is appearing to show that there is a dissent and clear divide in how the cabinet reacts to certain issues. Now because Labour picked up on a comment made by Michael Gove (who stated in a round about manner that masks should not be mandatory and it would be better to trust people’s good sense) has prompted them to demand the health Minister make a statement on record about their stance on mask wearing. In response Johnson has now begrudgingly followed Scotland's lead and issued a statement ahead of their scheduled plan that face coverings are now mandatory in all shops and anyone not wearing one could face a fine of one hundred pounds. Johnson did also kind of blame the mixed messages on delaying the new rule on awaiting scientific advise on the effectiveness of masks, which also begs the question is Scotland's health advisors better than those used in England or is Scotland's first minister just better at putting the health needs of her constituents ahead of  the political and economic needs or simply just a better leader than the moron currently residing in ten Downing Street. All this coming as chief science advisor predict the forth coming winter could see deaths rise exponentially if we don't get control of this virus now putting the estimated death toll at a further one hundred and twenty thousand. As a single person living alone with no immediate family to visit or worry about me, I have worn a mask for nearly two months while shopping and as I stated in an earlier rant, I was overwhelmed a couple of weeks ago at the reality of the problem when I visited my local Poundland outlet where there was no visible distancing (except on the floor) or  a one way system in effect, non of the staff were wearing masks, non of the staff were seen to be sanitising baskets, non of the staff were using gloves and I was the only person in the store wearing a mask which begs yet another question, if large retail chains aren't managing their staff and premises properly with visible pandemic protocols in place and not been fined or closed till they do adhere to safe practises, how can the government expect the general public to adhere to the rules or accept a fine. You ask yourself the question, are you safe guarding your loved one's or just following the flock and saying what the hell to life. That's me done for today.

Rant you tomorrow!
